Terms
The deal between you and CrewTab. Short, because there is not much to it.
Last changed October 14, 2026.
Who this is between
CrewTab is made and run by Aakar Tech Limited, a BC company in Abbotsford. "You" is the business that signs up and the people it adds to its crew. Signing up, or joining a crew with a code, means you accept these terms.
What CrewTab is, and is not
CrewTab records who worked, works out what you owe them the way BC employment standards say, texts the crew, and keeps their papers. It is a record-keeping tool.
It is not an accountant, a payroll provider or a lawyer. It does not withhold tax, CPP or EI, does not file T4s or T4As, and does not move money. Every statement says "before tax, CPP and EI" for that reason. The owner decides what to pay and is responsible for paying it and for following the law; CrewTab shows the rule it applied so you can check it.
Price
Free during early access. 60 days' notice before any charge.
If we start charging, you choose then whether to stay. Your data stays yours either way, and you can export it before you go.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens on your account is on you until you tell us it was taken.
- Add only people who work for you, and tell them CrewTab texts them. Texts stop the moment someone replies STOP.
- Do not put in what we say we never store: social insurance numbers, bank numbers, health details.
- Use it for your own crew. Do not scrape it, resell it, or try to get at another business's records.
Your data
It is yours. We use it only to run CrewTab for you, as the privacy page sets out. You can export your pay records at any time from Profit (year-end export) and from each pay period.
Ending it
You can stop any time by emailing harman@aakartech.ca. We can close an account that breaks these terms; we say why first unless the law stops us. Pay records are kept for the period the law requires, then deleted, as the privacy page says.
What we promise, and the limit
We work to keep CrewTab up and correct, and we fix what breaks. It is early software and we do not promise it will never be down or never have a bug. Check a statement before you pay it. We are not liable for lost profit or for a pay decision you made; if a court finds us liable for anything, the most we owe is what you paid us in the twelve months before, which during early access is nothing.
Law and changes
These terms follow the law of British Columbia and Canada. If we change them in a way that matters, every account owner gets an email first, and the date at the top changes. Keep using CrewTab after that and the new terms apply.
